Another sign of spring. I needed my umbrella to take a walk today. How come umbrellas tend to go bad in the middle of a walk? Why not just fail to open and show that it is broke before you are two blocks from home in the rain trying to find something to shoot for your blog and needed to keep your camera dry because you have no pockets? What a pain.

I never even owned an umbrella of my own until I moved to SF, where I learned the true meaning of drenched. My shoes got wet and never fully dried out for the entire 3 years I lived there, it seems. I walked dogs in every kind of rain, except sideways. In those storms I merely let the dogs out for potty break and charged the clients less.
